Canadian Brass Trumpet Dream Team

Hello Friends:

Some of you have already emailed and telephoned me to ask about the Canadian Brass and my participation in the Canadian Brass Trumpet Dream Team.  Yes, I am going to be performing concerts with the Canadian Brass, and yes, I am very excited to be working with my Canadian Brass colleagues once again.

In 2003, Chuck Daellenbach and Eugene Watts invited me to participate in a memorial and celebratory concert event in honor of Luther Henderson, our great musical friend of over 20 years and contributor of well over 100 marvelous works for the CB and, of course, for the future of brass chamber music.

Subsequent to Luther's memorial, Chuck and Gene invited me to play on "High Society", a really sweet recording focusing upon Luther's arrangements.  If you don't already own this CD, it is highly recommended!  Joe Bugstaller, Stuart Laughton and I all played, in rotation and in combination.  The project is a really fun "listen".

Fast-forward to this week..After a day of rehearsal and meetings, we played our first "back-together" concert a few nights ago at Woodberry, Virginia, to a standing ovation (as usual).

Future endeavors will include concerts in various venues across the USA and worldwide. The complete story, concert details and photos can be found on the Canadian Brass Website, www.canadianbrass.com.

I personally look forward to seeing all of you very soon.
Warmly,
Ron
